Status & Stasis

         I once knew a couple that had married 5 times, with the commotion of a divorce 4 times in between (maybe it's more by now) when they had reached their mid-thirties.  A younger friend on mine appears to be on track for easily topping that record.   After she recently posted a revised FB relationship status I commented: 


             WOW—neat. 

              Did all this happen in the space of time it took me to take an extended nap? Hopefully it's the same g(a)u(l)y so that you can extract every possible microgram of penance from their repentant soul before you viciously dump h(e)i(r)m on the most trivial of whims to their great despair.

              The status didn't survive my next nap, but the relationship appears to have lasted.
