Don't Raise the Debt, Balance the Budget Petition to:

Whereas:   Instead of working to cut taxes and spending, the politicians in Washington are pushing even more Big Government schemes and ramping up spending like never before; and Whereas:   This ever-increasing government spending, both at home and abroad, has put the average American family on the hook for nearly $800,000 when factoring in the long-term costs of social welfare programs that are already "locked in"; and Whereas:   Allowing politicians to keep spending American taxpayers' dollars without any restraint will very likely result in economic ruin for the United States; and Whereas:   A Balanced Budget Constitutional Amendment would not allow politicians to run massive deficits, and instead would actually make them stay within a budget like average American families; and Whereas:   A Balanced Budget Amendment is the best way to stop our out of control federal government from taxing and spending the American economy into collapse; Therefore: I urge you to cosponsor and seek roll call votes on the Balanced Budget Constitutional Amendment.
