Perhaps Science is finding a new force, but Society is losing its old force

Scientists believe there's a possibility that a new particle or force not seen before might make sense out of discrepant data.  Ironically, the discrepancy of trillions in the national budget also require some theoretical speculation, yet that seems to be the furthest thought on Bernanke's or the President's mind.  The Keynesian paradigm remains in force—spend, spend, spend and all will be OK.
